Here is a lovely cottage in the perfect location. It is close enough to be just a five minute walk from the centre of things in Keswick but in a quiet street with views of the fells at one end. This is a cottage that is perfectly proportioned, with comfortable furnishings and little thoughtful touches throughout.
Keswick is a busy, vibrant, friendly town with plenty of pubs, cafes and restaurants, as well as outdoor shops and other interesting independent shops. There are a couple of museums, pitch and putt golf, a climbing wall, a cinema and a theatre!
Derwentwater is a ten minute walk from the cottage and here you can hire rowing boats, take a trip on the launch or explore the paths around the lakeshore. The mountains surrounding Keswick are within easy reach – Catbells, the Coledale Horseshoe and Blencathra are all a great day’s walk, as well as Skiddaw and Latrigg.
On top of being known as the ‘Adventure Capital of England’, Keswick also hosts a variety of events and festivals – there is the Film Festival in February, Words by the Water in March, the Jazz festival in May and the Beer Festival in June to name but a few.
