Lovely old cottage located in a small friendly village. Good space inside, plenty of seating. The wood burner was needed every night due to time of year visiting. Pleasant bedroom decor and bedding. Nice small garden for the children to run around, and seating with bbq but we didnt use it. I would suggest the mattresses are due a change as felt the springs a bit. If you are sensitive to noise at night, the road is busy and cars drive very fast despite it being a 30mph zone. More tea spoons and a cheese grater was needed.
Overall a pleasant visit with good access to the Lakes National Park.

Hi Sonja, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, it's a lovely place for a relaxing break isn't it? I bet it was a treat to come home to that cosy woodburner after a day out exploring.
I really appreciate your feedback and suggestions for improvement, thank you.
I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the cottage, which has everything you could need (including a new smart tv), and is very warm and cosy with the log fire. The decor and facilities are immaculate, and we felt very confident that we were safe there during these unusual pandemic conditions. Overall highly recommended.

Beautifully furnished, well equipped and comfortable cottage with a great log burner which kept the house cosy and warm. Lovely garden with a gorgeous apple tree and light and airy conservatory. The location is not on the main tourist track but that is actually an attraction. The village has a lovely square, stunning local walks in beautiful countryside and quaint local shops including an excellent butcher's,greengrocer's and baker's shop and 3 pubs serving great food and real ale. Lovely beaches nearby at Haverigg and Roanhead and close to Ulverston and Coniston. A great base for lakes, beaches and mountains with stunning scenery en route.
