The Wi-Fi at the property is via a 4G dongle and has a limit of 50GB per month. This is suitable for general browsing and music streaming, but it may not be strong enough for video streaming.

General Description

Swallow Barn is accessed via the main barn door which opens into a porch area with hanging space and boot storage. Please note that as the floors are wooden guests are politely requested to use soft footwear indoors (slippers are available in the porch chest). The porch leads into a large characterful lounge with comfortable seating, wood burner (initial supply of fuel from November to March), original beams, TV, DVD and CD player, Ipod docking station and French windows leading out onto the balcony with fabulous views to Blencathra. Chairs and table are provided for the balcony to make the most of the superb view. To one end of the lounge is the dining area with table, chairs and a further sofa.

The fully equipped kitchen leads off from this dining area. The equiment includes a Rangemaster double electric oven, ceramic hob, retro fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and breakfast table and chairs.

There is a double bedroom off the kitchen featuring an en-suite shower room with WC and washbasin.

The lower floor is accessed via a staircase from the dining area of the sitting room. On the lower floor is the utility area with washing machine, separate tumble dryer and a door leading out to the garden.

The bedrooms on this floor consist of king size bedroom with en-suite shower room, WC and washbasin, a family bedroom with double and single bed (3ft) and a twin bedroom with 3ft beds. The separate family bathroom has a half roll top bath with shower attachment, separate walk in shower and washbasin. A separate cloakroom on this floor has a WC and washbasin.

Outside Swallow Barn there is a balcony from the sitting room. The balcony offers good protection beneath it and has wall-mounted hasps ideal for securely storing bikes. The garden area at the rear is lawned. It has picnic tables and a patio with charcoal BBQ available in the summer months. The driveway provides private parking for several cars.
