Junction 36 is the best route from the south onto the A590, Kendal by-pass then A591 to Ambleside
On entering Ambleside, follow Lake Road (passing Hayes Garden World on your left) which will lead you to the one way system through the village (A591)

You will then need to move into the left hand lane (Keswick, Grasmere (A591) and Town Centre). Follow this road up through the town centre
At the small roundabout, take the second exit (right) for Kirkstone
Proceed up Smithy Brow then take the first left turning onto Nook Lane (if you reach the Golden Rul, you've gone too far), then turn immediately right into The Green (please note, these are all small lanes so extra care and attention should be taken)
Sunnydene is in the first small terrace on your left and Sunnydene is the third cottage up from the bottom
Parking for 1 small/medium car outside the cottage. There is a separate garage (about 2m away) can be used to securely bikes/outdoor equipment. A second car could potentially be parked inside the garage, depending on its size
