Head inside this charming cottage and you're sure to be delighted. A useful heated entrance porch is ideal for storing coats and boots before continuing on into the living room, a truly welcoming space, just perfect for cosy evenings in. Relax in front of the coal-effect gas stove; for entertainment there's a smart TV with Freesat and Blu Ray/DVD player, as well as a Roberts radio with streaming capability. The country-style dining kitchen is well equipped with everything you'd need for a self catering holiday: there's a double electric fan oven and gas hob, fridge-freezer, handy microwave, dishwasher - there'll be no fighting over the washing up here! - and a useful washer/dryer. Gather round the oak dining table, the perfect place to compare notes on your day's adventures.
Up the open tread solid oak stairs from the living room to the first floor and you'll find the two bedrooms and family shower room. To the front is the delightful master bedroom. With a double bed and useful oak chest of drawers and built in wardrobe. It's a lovely room where you're sure to feel instantly relaxed thanks to the tasteful decor. At the rear of the cottage is the cosy twin room with another oak chest of drawers. Please note, there is a step up into the twin room from the landing. From the twin bedroom are wonderful views over the surrounding rooftops to Loughrigg beyond, a truly enchanting vista. All the beds have ample under bed storage. Up a step from the landing is the family shower room; with a WC, washbasin and shower cubicle - ideal for reinvigorating tired muscles after a day out exploring.
French doors lead from the kitchen out to the cottage's private patio area and shared garden. An outdoor table and chairs can be found on the patio; early birds will love taking a peaceful moment out here with their morning cuppa before anyone else is up, or relax with a refreshing G&T come the evening.
As well as a delightful garden, Sunnydene also has provision for the storage of 2 bikes in a stone built outhouse at the top of the garden, as well as parking for 1 car - a real rarity so close to the centre of Ambleside. Leave the car and head out on foot for the day.
