I would totally recommend to anyone, it was so peaceful and a genuine get away from a busy lifestyle.
Excellent accommodation, very cosy and comfy.

Hi Loraine, many thanks for your comments, it really is a wonderfully peaceful location, isn't it? Here's to getting away from it all!

Good location but own transport essential. Lovely clean and quiet accommodation though mattresses on the noisey side! Enjoyed our stay despite the weather!

Caroline, Thank you for your review. I'm delighted you enjoyed your stay - it's a real home from home isn't it? I hope you had some fabulous day's out despite the recent wet spell! I will pass on your feedback and I hope you will return and explore more of the stunning Lakes soon.

We loved our stay at this cottage. It is comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. It is well placed for Hadrian's Wall, North Lakes , even over into Northumbria and South of Scotland. My overall rating of 9 for comfort is only because the mattress on the bad was a little on the hard side for my taste, but this would certainly not put me off returning to this cottage. People should also be aware that the car park can flood, but it wasn't too deep for us to drive through and did not affect our enjoyment in staying there. The owners are also very helpful and friendly. I have already recommended this cottage to friends and will definitely be returning there.

Hi Venita, it's such a beautiful cottage, isn't it? Thank you for spreading the word! You did exceptionally heavy rain during your stay which, thankfully, is a rare occurrence and didn't restrict your access. Sounds like you got plenty of exploring done - and we would love to see you again when you continue your Lake District adventures!
