Lovely comfy and cosy cottage, loved the double sided log burner after a days walking. Only 15 min walk to middle of Keswick

Hello Anita, You really can't beat getting away from it all, can you? I would love to welcome you back again in the future.

A supremely cosy and well appointed converted stable building. The owner has put in some great touches to make it welcoming and luxurious. We loved the heated bathroom floors, the nespresso machine (with capsules), the "through the wall" log burner, the excellent showers and the exceedingly cosy sitting room. The large Smart TV also comes with Netflix for those bad weather days. The owner is responsive (via Sally's) and the kitchen is very well equipped. We had a really really nice time at this property. The garden beautifully catches the Western evening sun with Skiddaw rising above you. Nice outdoor furniture.
Some points to bear in mind - you need to bring your own basics (salt, pepper, sugar etc) as unlike some properties this one does not keep these. Not an issue it's a choice. Slippers for wearing indoors a good idea as you need to keep the mud out - although the owner provides you with a pack of "spa" slippers each week. The parking is awkward and for one car only (as stated) - and really try not to bring a van or a large car! There are a few free spaces outside the Pheasant Inn on Crosthwaite Road which are convenient. There is no recycling bin at the property (probably due to the council classing these as "trade" properties) or info on recycling. You can recycle at the Otley Road car park site in Keswick.

Hi Peter, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, it's a lovely place for a relaxing break in the heart of Keswick isn't it? Everything is just a short stroll away and it's perfectly located for exploring other areas of the Lakes too. I appreciate your feedback and wanted to let you know that salt, pepper etc are usually provided, but they have been removed during the current Covid pandemic. Come back any time, you can be sure of a warm welcome.

A lovely cottage that has a well stocked kitchen, comfortable furnishings, and a lovely sunny garden. Only a couple of small quibbles: two loo rolls for a sleeps four cottage meant a forced shop the day after we arrived, and the bathroom fan vents were very dusty — probably just missed due to the cottage being empty for months before our arrival due to lockdown. Wonderful location. Quiet yet so close to Keswick centre on foot. Would certainly stay here again.
