The Stables sits alongside Linden Farm House and the Linden Print Studio in Baldwinholme, just six miles south of Carlisle and nine miles north of the Lake District National Park. It is a reverse accommodation cottage featuring two bedrooms on the ground floor with an open plan living, kitchen and dining area on the first floor. The Stables (Baldwinholme) sleeps up to four people.
Entry to the cottage is via a split stable door into a hallway with the two bedrooms located on either side. On the left is the master bedroom comprising of a double bed, wardrobe and en suite WC and wash basin. A second split stable door opens from the bedroom out onto the old farmyard. The second bedroom is minimally furnished and contains a set of two adult-sized bunk beds with reading lights and small bedside shelves. A bathroom with an over-bath shower, WC, basin and heated towel rail completes the ground floor.
A large, exposed local sandstone wall and original wooden beams add character to the first floor living area. The kitchen neatly combines with the living area and dining room in this high-vaulted studio area. It contains an electric overn and hob, microwave, dishwasher and under-counter fridge with a small ice box. A small table seating four people is situated in front of one of two windows, which look over the old farmyard and into the village beyond. Two two-seater sofas and a coffee table make for a comfortable lounging area in front of a wood burning stove and a small TV and DVD player sits in the corner of the room.
A tumble drier is located in the secure garage next to The Stables, where bikes may also be stored. A wooden garden table and chairs are available for guests to use in the old farmyard area (which is shared with the cottage owners), where guest parking is also available for up to two cars.
