St Herbert's Cottage is an ideal base for up to six people in the much-loved Lakeland town of Keswick. Keswick is well known for being the Lake District's adventure capital, boasting a vast array of adrenaline fuelled activities in the great outdoors for visitors to sample. If you're hoping to don your walking boots then you could scarcely be better placed as there are numerous walks from the door including Latrigg, Walla Crag or the ancient Castlerigg Stone Circle and should you be ready for a bigger adventure Skiddaw, one of England's mountain giants stands guard over the town. Alternatively hop on board one of the Keswick launches to lap up the glorious scenery from the water. St Herbert's Cottage is ideally placed whether you feel like pottering in to the bustling centre of the town or whether you'd like to get outdoors and make the most of these unparalleled natural surroundings.

There's a host of different things to do for families with an indoor climbing wall with "hard play" area and a leisure pool with a huge slide both within an easy stroll of the cottage. For the adults the town has plenty of indoor charms to offer too with excellent eateries, characterful pubs, award winning museums, not to mention a regular market and a great range of independent and outdoor shops. It boasts its own Art Deco cinema and the stunningly situated Theatre by the Lake which shows a varied programme of drama, comedy, music and events throughout the year.
