Absolutely stunning cottage in a beautiful small village nestled in the gorgeous cumbrian countryside. If I could of wrapped this cottage up & taken it home to live in i would of!!
This cottage has everything you could possibly need & more. It is so spacious it was just perfect to fit all 6 people, 1x med dog & 1x large husky in immediate!!!
In fact we couldn't fault anything. Although the back door key  we found out needs to be pushed gently downwards whilst locking or the key sticks & won't lock the door lol!!
Thank you for an amazing stay & your lovely home  ❤

Hi Ange, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay, it's a lovely place for a relaxing break isn't it?
I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

Beautiful, spacious, comfortable and so well equipped. No box unticked in terms of creature comforts. Two or three of everything in the crockery and cutlery cupboards - so simple yet so important. The owners have thought of everything and it shows. A proper cook's kitchen with loads of fridge and freezer capacity and lovely spaces to relax like the snug with its separate TV and board games.

The village is peaceful but the locals oh so welcoming. Far from the madding crowds too in a corner of Cumbria steeped in history with access in all directions to great walking and scenery and delightful market settlements like Alston and less than 30 minutes away Hadrian's Wall.

You can easily go to the `popular lakes' if you want to but there's really no need. Ran out of time to do everything we wanted to do in the area so - what a shame - will have to come back again to finish off.

Lovely Silverdell Cottage - don't miss it !
