Silverdell is one of our NEW COTTAGES!

Located in the peaceful rural village of Croglin is Silverdell, a wonderful place to retreat to after a day out exploring. Inside this modern cottage you'll find lovely accommodation for up to 6 people. The entrance to the cottage doubles as a cosy snug area and leads you into the fantastic open plan kitchen-dining-living area. A handy utility room completes the ground floor. The 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are upstairs on the first floor and at the rear of the cottage is a delightful patio area with stunning views over the rolling fields beyond. Two dogs are also welcome at Silverdell but we do ask that they are kept downstairs. There is a lockable shed for storage of bikes.

Croglin is a small pretty village in the Eden Valley, located in a landscape of which stretches from this Cumbrian fellside and is part of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Unesco Global Geopark (to the River Eden) 'Fellfoot Forward Project'. This major project aims to preserve wildlife scarce throughout the rest of the UK, and protect heritage features for residents and visitors alike.  This is a rural area and keen walkers and cyclists (nearby Hartside Height being a final stage on more than one occasion for the Tour of Britain) will not be disappointed.

The North Pennines village of Alston, reputedly the highest market settlement in England, is sure to charm with its cobbled streets, market cross and bandstand; ambling around the village is a delightful way to spend an afternoon. For a longer day out, visit the historic border city of Carlisle where you can learn all about the area's Roman heritage at the fantastic Tullie House Museum or visit nearby Hadrians Wall World Heritage Site. Why not head west to the Lake District? Spend a day at beautiful Ullswater; enjoy a walk by the magnificent Aira Force Waterfall, try your hand at paddle boarding or hitch a ride on the popular Ullswater "Steamer" for a delightful cruise around the lake.
