On the leafy outskirts of the popular Lakeland town of Keswick you’ll find Scots Pine, a thoroughly grown up haven for four just oozing character and elegance. Forming part of a gracious manor house set in mature grounds it has been recently refurbished to a luxuriously high standard making it a cottage the discerning visitor will want to visit again and again. Its owners have an eye for local artwork and interior design filling the space with thoughtful details and providing lots of little luxuries such as Bath House toiletries. Scots Pine has been designed with adults in mind and as such children aged 8 and under are not accepted, including babies.
Keswick is an absolute jewel of a town in the northern Lake District situated on picturesque Derwentwater and Scots Pine is ideally situated to make the most of everything it has to offer. It’s just a 15 minute walk into the centre of the bustling market town from the cottage while heading in the opposite direction a 10 minute walk could see you in the heart of Brundholme Woods on the way up Latrigg, a beautiful little fell with wonderfully rewarding views.
The town needs little introduction as it’s well known as the adventure capital of the Lake District. Keswick’s stunning position means you have a vast array of walks and cycle rides on your doorstep. You could choose a gentle amble through town and along the lake shore to Friars Crag or perhaps the rigours of a stride up mighty Skiddaw (England’s fourth highest mountain) might be more to your taste. Why not indulge in a little of the history and culture on offer with a visit to the town’s award winning museum or a jaunt to the Theatre by the Lake? Alternatively stroll through town and take your pick of the pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops. Whatever you choose to do with your Lake District break you’ll find Scots Pine a warm, welcoming and indulgent jumping off point.
