We had a wonderful time at Sale Fell. We were met my Alison who showed us all around the cottage and explained all the equipment and where everything was. Lovely view of Lake Bassenthwaite. The wood burner fire was lovely in a night time.
The garden was always full of different birds including a woodpecker and even saw an hedgehog.
Would recommend the cottage and would love to go vack.

Hello Maria, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It's a gem of a cottage, isn't it? The views are exquisite! How wonderful to witness all the different birds in the garden and spend time with nature. You just can't beat a cosy wood burner for kicking back and relaxing - perfect! I'm thrilled you had a great time and I hope you will come back and visit us very soon.

Super welcome from the owner, lovely pack of goodies, beautiful property with great decorations. Stove made the living room toasty warm and cosy. Great winter location for short walks and trips out, as well as just sitting around! Really enjoyed our Christmas break. Thank you.

Hello Nick, Thank you for your lovely feedback. It's a real home from home, isn't it? How thoughtful of the wonderful owner to prepare a welcome pack and decorate the cottage! You just can't beat a wood burner to kick back and relax in front of. You couldn't have picked a better location for getting out and about on some great walks too. I'm thrilled you had a really great Christmas break and I hope you will come back and visit us soon!

Sale Fell is a lovely, very well appointed and cared for home. We stayed for 4 weeks to enjoy walking and photography in the Lake District and were very comfortable and would thoroughly recommend it as a base. It is 4 miles from Keswick which has all the amenities we required. The cottage is not in the heart of the Lakes, but this made it easier to travel to a different area each day and was one of the reasons we chose it.
