The converted stables are in good repair and the experience staying there was good. Car parking was adequate and hotel/bar staff amenable. A summer stay will add a new dimension of access to the pub garden area and longer kitchen opening hours. Distance from Keswick, (excellent road access now) Ullswater lake and Force all attractive. Although it is not possible to walk directly from the location to any fells, peaks, lakes or falls it is possible to access by car, with adequate parking at the location. Rheged centre is excellent for a visit and provisions (part of the Tebay offering) just back up the by pass towards the M6.

This could be an excellent cottage. The location and views from the first floor living area are very good.
However where the accommodation falls down is that the equipment is sparse. Only four bowls, no glass tumblers, no cheese grater, no bread bin for example. Also some instructions on the hot water/heating system and what to do with rubbish would be helpful. There didn’t seem to be any spare bin liners. All small things but I think they could easily put right.

Hi David, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm glad you enjoyed your break. It's the perfect place to get away from it all isn't it? The views are stunning!
I really appreciate your feedback and suggestions for improvement. I'll make sure everything is addressed, thank you.
I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.
