Rowan Bank is a traditional Lake District cottage, offering group accommodation for up to 8 people. It occupies a stunning location close to the head of the picturesque valley of Eskdale in the heart of the English Lake District. Rowan Bank is surrounded by impressive mountain scenery and close to one of Cumbria's most historic pubs, The Woolpack Inn. The cottage is built of traditonal Lakeland stone and retains many characteristic original features.
Eight people can be accommodated in the two double rooms and two twin making this an ideal base for a group of friends on a walking holiday. There is ample seating in the characterful sitting room for eight people to sit in comfort and enjoy the charming surroundings.
Eskdale is a beautiful valley with fabulous walking available right from the doorstep, from the lofty peaks of the Scafells to more gentle walks by the river. Nearby is the delightful hamlet of Boot with a welcoming pub and picturesque mill. The L'al Ratty Steam Railway passes through the valley on its way to the fishing village of Ravenglass and is a great way to enjoy the sights of the valley and coast. Eskdale is well served by 5 pubs all serving real ale and home cooked food.
