General description

Rosedale is a comfortable semi-detached house for four to five people nestled in a fantastic position on the edge of the much-loved village of Portinscale. With three bedrooms, ample living space and a pleasant patio for outdoor dining it makes a great base to explore this wonderful area.

On arrival at the house there is a large graveled parking area to the front with space for three cars and a covered porch above the front door. There is a spacious hallway once inside, off which guests access the living room and kitchen. There's an under stairs cupboard with coat hooks and plenty of shoe space for all your outdoor gear. The living/dining room is a pleasant open plan space with a comfy sofa and two armchairs arranged around an electric fire and a large TV with Freesat and DVD player. There's a dining table and a wooden dresser in the other end of the room which has access out to the glass porch through French double doors.

The kitchen is well equipped with a Bosch fan oven, gas hobs, a microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and a small breakfast table at which you can enjoy your morning cuppa.

Heading upstairs brings you out on the light landing from which you first head to the spacious master bedroom. It's a lovely space with two windows looking out on the spectacular views to Grisedale Pike, Causey Pike and Whinlatter forest. It has large built-in wardrobes for storage and a rocking chair for enjoying a good book. The second double bedroom also has a built-in wardrobe and glorious views to the other aspect of the house out to Latrigg, Skiddaw and Blencathra. The single room has a slightly elevated single bed (ideally suited to a child) which makes for a great hidey hole underneath for any little ones in your party! it also has a small built-in wardrobe and those marvelous views to Latrigg and Skiddaw. The family bathroom has an over-bath mixer shower and a concertina shower screen.

To the back of the house there's a lovely patio with outdoor dining furniture and a covered area to the side which guests can use for storage or for the handy covered washing line. (Please note that the neighbours have a right of access through here but they very really use it). The rear of the house benefits from fantastic afternoon and evening sun so it really is worth enjoying a glass of wine out here while enjoying a sunset over the fells.
