Delightful cottage, very comfortable, easy access to all areas of the lakes. Shame the weather was poor as the garden was fantastic and we would have loved to have spent time in it.

Hi Geoffrey, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your break, the location is ideal for heading out exploring isn't it? I hope you can come back to explore some more soon, fingers crossed for better weather next time!

Great location for walking around the northern lakes and Blencathra. No local shop, but nice pub next door. We did eat here once, but limited, expensive menu, ok food. Nothing special. Cottage old fashioned and starting to look tired. Caretakers Val and Roger were very pleasant and helpful.

beautiful place to stay , very clean , with it being in a small village obviously there were no shops but the location more than made up for that , scenery was breathtaking and the cleaner couldnt do enough to help us , pub next door although a bit expensive the locals were very friendly , would recommend highly
