Newcastle Upon Tyne Family
- We had a fantastic stay recently with 3 adults, 2 toddlers, and a baby. The housekeeper Val was brilliant, very responsive and helpful. The location is superb right next to a lovely pub and less than 10 minutes drive to Keswick. The layout of the house downstairs was great for all the kids although a stair gate on the bottom stairs would have been handy. This wouldn’t put us off though we could bring a travel one next time. The only negatives were the mattresses could do with being replaced, especially the middle bedroom and top bunk bed. The high chair is a bit dirty and the back leans back, a cheap Ikea one would be much better. Although generally clean, a deep clean would be good to remove all the spider webs and properly clean high and low corners. We were a bit surprised to find no recycling bin at the cottage, having to make regular trips to the village recycling plant where you have to separate all bits (green, clear, brown bottles, aluminium, plastic etc) which was a bit annoying and not something you want to do on holiday. Apart from that we had a great stay and would recommend.
