The cottage is spacious and well equipped with a lovely walled garden and is in a good location. However, the cottage is very tired inside and is well overdue for a refurbish and an overall good clean. The en suite bathroom had mould around the bath, the shower screen didn't fit properly, there were no curtains or blinds at the windows or no bathmat. The shower in 2nd bathroom didn't drain properly and again no bathmat. The outside bins and bottle bin were full on arrival and were not emptied until the day before we left. There was an overall musty smell throughout all of the cottage, especially in the middle bedroom with the handbasin. We knew it was not going to be the most modern inside but it did not offer the comfort we expected.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks at this lovely, peaceful cottage. Our 2nd visit, after spending our Honeymoon here back in 1999.

A perfect place to “get away from it all” and a great base for exploring the northern lakes.

Hi Valerie, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your break. It's a lovely place to relax and recharge the batteries isn't it? It's always a bonus having some good pubs nearby and letting someone else do the cooking for a change.
I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.
