Beautiful little cottage, almost in the middle of nowhere but with easy access by car to Cockermouth, Keswick and Worthington (approx 7 miles to each). The cottage was well-equipped. Beds very comfy and the private garden had wicker chairs to sit on. We found the garden very secure for our two small dogs. It was very quiet during our stay, even with neighbours in the adjoining cottages. The only slight criticism we had was a soiled blanket left in the bottom of the wardrobe (which we left out for cleaning on our departure).

Hi Barbara Thanks for your feedback and glad you had such a lovely holiday. Thanks too for pointing out the blanket & leaving it out for us. Here's to escaping to the middle of nowhere - we love it!

Perfect cottage for us plus our dog. Beautiful setting and excellent sized garden. However I do not believe the garden to be fully enclosed as we found on several occasions other dog poo on our lawn!

Hi Beth, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your break, it's a lovely place to relax and recharge the batteries isn't it? I'm sorry to hear that you had some unexpected visitors to the garden, I'll look into that.
I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

Lovely cosy cottage for a small family. Everything you need for a short break provided. Double bed not the most comfortable mattress could do with replacing. Garden perfect for children and dog as fully enclosed.
Location excellent for Loweswater / Emnerdale, cycling and walking. Have to travel a little for shops etc as very rural but you expect that in the lakes.
