We really enjoyed our stay. It was remote and out of a town / village which is exactly what we wanted. Ample room inside and outside for our Jack Russells and Saint Bernard. Loads of space for parking (with our large van). Very cosy feel and original features.

Unfortunately the cottage was not the cleanest. Stains up the walls in the kitchen, stains on the quilt (which we only saw when stripping the bed on the last day), infestation of beetles in the bathroom and we couldnt use the draws as they smelt awful. We left a day early as we just didnt feel comfortable. Damp smell and any paper we had got damp. If you like peace and tranquility book the cottage now! Very private garden which is dog secure. The cottage was as described and was great for us. You are quite a way from shops so be well vitualled going in. Western lakes are beautiful, busy but not as busy as the central lakes.
