Very practical and lovely cottage - we enjoyed our stay with our two kids especially the view on the stable and lambs. One thing to take into account it is quite isolated (10 mn drive to Keswick for restaurants/ take away/shopping)

Hi Camille, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm so pleased ypu enjoyed your stay, it's a lovely place to get away from it all isn't it? I bet the kids loved seeing all the cute lambs!
I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

Very nice short break in The Cottage . The only problem is the storage heating which comes on through the night ,very uncomfortable , and does not last through the day time making the evenings uncomfortably cold.

Hi Irene, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, it's a lovely place for a relaxing break isn't it?
Thanks for letting me know about the storage heating. We’ve spoken with the owner of Rose Cottage, and they have confirmed that timing and temperature can be set as desired on the individual control panel on each unit. Our offices are open 8.30am-9.00pm 7 days a week, so if you do face any issues like this in our cottages in the future, we would be more than happy to help!
I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

Great cottage in a location ideal for access to the North West Lake district. Very cosy on an evening in front of the open fire and the public house is a short walk serving tasty evening meals. The bathroom is modern and spacious with loads of piping hot water. Even without the open fire the storage heaters ensure the cottage is warm throughout.
The only complaint to mar an excellent comfort mark was the double bed. It creaks and groans whenever you move and disturbs sleep. It is clearly the wooden supports within the base that have weakened and the hardboard supporting the mattress sags under the weight. Nothing to do with mattress toppers as mentioned in previous reviews. It might have been better to consider sleeping in the twin room as there were just two of us.

Hello Bill, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It's the perfect place to kick back and relax, isn't it? It's always a bonus having a good local within walking distance! I really appreciate your feedback and suggestions for improvement regarding the bed which I will pass on to the owner. I hope you will plan a return visit to the beautiful Lakes in the future.
