Rivermead is a warm and comfortable cottage for up to four people nestled in Eamont Bridge right beside the River Eamont itself. The cottage also welcomes one well behaved dog. Benefitting from a small enclosed garden with patio for outdoor dining and with plenty of walking right from the door it's an ideal place to explore the Eden Valley as well as the Lake District National Park on its doorstep.
On arrival at the house there is ample parking from which you enter via the garden and patio. There is a large porch just inside which has plenty of space for muddy boots and shoes as well as a couple of bikes should your party wish to bring them along. From here there is a door to a utility area with coat hooks, a washing machine and a freezer.
Through to the main house where guests will first come to the spacious and warm living/dining room. It's a lovely light space with exposed beams, comfy seating, a sandstone feature wall and a gas effect fire. Perfect for keeping you cosy on chilly evenings. The dining table is set in the delightful large bay window offering guests the opportunity to enjoy watching the garden's visiting bird life. For other entertainment the owners have provided a TV with Freeview, a DVD player and a stereo.
Beyond this is the compact and modern kitchen, this is well equipped with all the crockery and utensils you'll need for your stay as well as a fan oven with halogen hobs and a microwave. Moving though to the bright fresh bathroom with its large vanity unit and bath with over-bath electric shower.
Upstairs guests will find the two lovely bedrooms. The master bedroom has a wooden double bedstead, a large wardrobe and chest of drawers. It also benefits form a view out to the River Eamont itself. The twin room is a lovely cosy space with a compact wardrobe and twin 2ft 6' beds.
The garden has a patio with outdoor dining set, a small lawn and mature plants offering some lovely colour in the summer months.
