General description

Riverholme is a charming terraced cottage in Bassenthwaite, a delightful village to the north of the Lake that also bears the name. Sleeping four people in two beautiful bedrooms and boasting elegant decor, high spec appliances and a comfortable cosy atmosphere it really is a wonderful base from which to explore the northern Lake District.

Guests enter the property through the red front door into the hallway. The kitchen is located to the rear of the cottage has a modern rustic look about it with fresh decor and thoughtful lighting setting off the space. The kitchen is very well equipped with a built-in raised fan oven, eye height microwave, induction hobs, under-counter fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. It's also well stocked with all the crockery and cookware you'll need for you stay. The room has a breakfast bar at which you might choose to take your meals but if you'd rather spread out rather more then there's a foldaway dining table and chairs cunningly hidden in the dining area panels. If you'd rather enjoy the space there's also a bench for watching the television in the dining area. In this room there's a handy utility cupboard with plenty of space for muddy boots and wellies.

Moving through to the font of the house via the main hallway takes you to the living room. It's a delightful cosy room with wooden floors, a woodburner a Smart TV with Sky+ and two sofas, one leather one fabric, to snuggle up and relax on.

The staircase heads up from a door in the living room to the first floor accommodation. The en-suite master bedroom is a beautiful space with a king-size iron bedframe, a decorative fireplace, large wardrobe, dressing table and en-suite shower room. The twin bedroom also has a wardrobe and decorative fireplace. Also on this floor is the large family bathroom. It has a beautiful freestanding claw foot bath with a shower attachment as well as a separate mixer shower is its own curved enclosure.

Outside the property there's a lovely garden to the rear leading out to the stream which passes through the village. There is shared access between the gardens of the terrace of houses within which Riverholme has a lawn area and furniture for outdoor dining as a well as a lockable shed for bikes.
