The cottage was very clean on arrival . Beds really comfortable- a little closer to the road through the village than I would have liked but traffic was not heavy . The garden is pleasant but enclosed with high hedges that made us feel we were missing the views of Eskdale - not much area to use the garden as it’s very mature with planting of trees and shrubs but it was private. The house could do with a little maintenance in places - dripping toilet in the main bedroom en-suite causes the macerated toilet to function through the night .. a little noisy . Overall comfortable and clean with everything we needed .

Caernarfon, North Wales. Family
It was exactly what we wanted. Except for Covid restrictions and the hassle of booking everywhere, it would have been perfect.

Absolutely beautiful cottage and in a lovely area. Nice secluded garden. Plenty of room throughout the for the 3 of us. Beautiful walks straight from the door. If travelling further afield, it is quite a drive to most places and on relatively narrow roads. The only supermarket we visited was the coop in Seascale which was around 20 mins away but stock was fairly low. We visited Ennerdale, Buttermere, Ambleside, Drigg Beach, and Wast Water. All delightful when you get there.
