With Keswick on your doorstep, this cottage is ideally placed for making the most of everything that this bustling market town has to offer. Spend some time checking out the independent and outdoor shops on offer, visit Keswick Museum and Art Gallery for a spot of culture or enjoy a delicious lunch in one of the town's welcoming cafes. Derwentwater is just a 10-minute walk away, ideal for spending a day at, in or on the water! Enjoy a lakeside picnic, while the well-prepared can wild swim, hire a rowing boat or hitch a ride on the popular launch and let someone else do the hard work.
There are plenty of fantastic walking opportunities nearby too; from lower-level rambles to days out in the high fells, there's something to suit everyone. Scramble up Catbells or Walla Crag for stunning views over the lake; experienced walkers can tackle Skiddaw, England's fourth highest mountain, straight from the front door too. Explore Great Wood near the shores of Derwentwater or spend the day at nearby Whinlatter Forest; there are a choice of nine walking trails and three mountain bike trails, or why not walk an alpaca for something a bit different!

The front door leads straight into the living room. Deceptively spacious yet still wonderfully cosy, you've really got everything you need here. The sofas are positioned in front of the wood burner and there's a TV for entertainment too, perfect for relaxing evenings in. The stylish dining area is the perfect spot for catching up on the day's events over a hearty home-cooked meal.
At the back of the cottage is the sleek kitchen. Well equipped with all the essentials you'd need for a self-catering holiday, there's an electric oven and hob as well as the all important toaster, kettle and Nespresso machine. The kitchen sink has a delightful outlook over the rear garden.
Also on the ground floor is a useful utility room, which houses the washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge/freezer.
On the first floor are two of the three bedrooms; both bedrooms are bright and airy but still retain their original wooden beams, giving them a lovely cosy cottage feel. First up is the double room, which has a beautiful feature fireplace. The second bedroom is a delightful single room, only really suitable for child. The cute dressing table in here could also double as a handy desk area, ideal for writing postcards!
The beautiful family bathroom is also on the first floor. Alongside the WC and stylish wash basin, there's a modern shower cubicle and a fabulous free-standing bath. The gorgeous bath sits on a raised plinth meaning you can enjoy the fantastic view of the fells from the window whilst enjoying a relaxing soak.
Onwards and upwards to the second floor where you'll find the master bedroom, a fantastic, spacious room with wonderful character features and fell views. The king-size bed is perfect for indulging in a long lie in - you are on holiday after all! - and there's also a little seating area with a cosy armchair, a lovely spot for catching up with a good book. There's also a handy chest of drawers for storage too.
Outside to the rear of the cottage is a delightful enclosed garden, a real bonus so close to the centre of Keswick. Laid to lawn with a sitting out area on the paved patio, it's a lovely spot to unwind and enjoy some al fresco dining. There is also a newly built garden room, this is fitted with a sofa, decorative bar and radio, the perfect place to relax on a summer's evening.
