You're sure to feel instantly at home in Rawnsley Cottage! A fantastic spot for up to 5, it's conveniently location on the road into Keswick, just a stone's throw from the centre of the popular town. Because the owners have also added soundproofing, you get the best of both worlds: a location close to town, with the peacefulness of a village!
The front door leads straight into the living room. Deceptively spacious yet still wonderfully cosy, you've really got everything you need here. The sofas are positioned in front of the wood burning stove and there's a TV for entertainment too, perfect for relaxing evenings in. The stylish dining area is the perfect spot for catching up on the day's events over a hearty home cooked meal.
At the back of the cottage is the sleek kitchen. Well equipped with all the essentials you'd need for a self catering holiday, there's an electric oven and hob as well as the all important toaster and kettle. The kitchen sink has a delightful outlook over the rear garden.
Also on the ground floor is a useful utility room, which houses the washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge-freezer.
On the first floor are 2 of the 3 bedrooms; both bedrooms are bright and airy but still retain their original wooden beams, giving them a lovely cosy cottage feel. First up is the double room, which has a beautiful feature fireplace. The second bedroom is a delightful single room, only really suitable for child. The cute dressing table in here could also double as a handy desk area, ideal for writing postcards!
The beautiful family bathroom is also on the first floor. Alongside the WC and stylish washbasin, there's a modern shower cubicle and a fabulous free-standing bath. The gorgeous bath sits on a raised plinth meaning you can enjoy the fantastic view of the fells from the window whilst enjoying a relaxing soak.
Onwards and upwards to the second floor where you'll find the master bedroom, a fantastic, spacious room with wonderful character features and fell views. The king size bed is perfect for indulging in a long lie in - you are on holiday after all! - and there's also a little seating area with a cosy armchair, a lovely spot for catching up with a good book. There's also a handy chest of drawers for storage too.
Outside to the rear of the cottage is a delightful enclosed rear garden, a real bonus so close to the centre of Keswick. Laid to lawn with a sitting out area on the paved patio, it's a lovely spot to unwind and enjoy some al fresco dining.
