Rannerdale Croft is one of two cottages on Rannerdale Farm. This idyllic corner of Lakeland is a true delight. A quiet road passes the end of the driveway. Beyond that dry-stone wall edged fields roll out to the edge of Crummock Water. The farm’s namesake fell; Rannerdale Knotts, provides a stunning backdrop to the cottages. The valley is famous for it’s rich carpet of bluebells each spring.
The property is comfortably furnished to accommodate four people in three bedrooms. The kitchen makes the most of the view of Rannerdale Knotts and is well equipped for self catering.
Surrounded by fields, mountains and lakes, Rannderdale Croft is the perfect base for an activity holiday. A laundry room is available to clean and dry muddy or wet outdoor clothes and footwear. If you were just looking to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, Rannerdale Croft offers a limited mobile signal and not another building for miles, bliss!
Buttermere village with its two good pubs and ice cream parlour is 1.5 miles from the cottage. The lake is lovely to walk round and there are great fell walks for all abilities. To the west there is Loweswater and the Kirkstile Inn. Beyond is the market town of Cockermouth offering all the usual shops and services.
