Built in the 1960s and happily situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in the much-loved Lakeland town of Keswick, Quintok offers comfortable accommodation for up to six people. With a central staircase, three bedrooms, ample socialising space and fantastic views, it makes a marvellous starting point for a break in the Northern Lakes. Benefitting from BT Infinity "superfast" WiFi and fantasic walking opportunities from the door, Quintok has something for everyone.
On arrival at the house, guests enter into the light hallway from which you access the living room to the left. There are fantastic floor length windows from which to take in the wonderful view of Latrigg near the house. There's a coal effect gas fire, a sofa, armchairs and TV with Youview and DVD player for entertainment. There's a small study area to the back of the room with a bureau, should you need to catch up on any work while away, along with a stereo and ipod dock. The bureau also contains a few board games and puzzles to keep your party occupied.
Back through the hall guests will find the dining room, through which you access the kitchen to the rear of the house. It's well equipped with a built-in fan oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, Coffee machine, under counter fridge and breakfast table for enjoying a morning cuppa while watching the comings and goings from the bird feeders at the back of the house. Beyond here is a downstairs WC and a porch leading through to the back door where there is plenty of space for hanging coats and storing shoes and boots. There's further storage space in the form of a utility cupboard off the main dining room where there is a washer/dryer and an upright freezer.
Moving upstairs from the main hall takes you to the expansive first floor. Here you'll find the second living area; this is a gorgeous light space to relax with beautiful views to Latrigg and Lonscale Fell from the balcony at the front and access to the large enclosed deck at the back of the house which boasts a lovely view of Blencathra. This first floor living area benefits from comfortable seating as well as a further dining table should you choose to take your meals up here. There's also a stereo in this room to add to the atmosphere of evenings sat up here discussing your Lake District plans.
As to the rest of the first floor, first to the comfortable bedrooms. The first of these is a lovely dual aspect double room with leather bedstead, a large built-in wardrobe, dressing table and lovely views to Whinlatter Forest and Grisedale Pike. The second double bedroom has a wooden bedstead, wardrobe, dressing table and views to Latrigg. The third bedroom has twin beds, a dressing table with drawers for storage and and a view to the tiered garden at the back. The family bathroom on the first floor has a white suite with bath and separate shower enclosure with electric shower.
Outside there is a large garage, suitable for a car and with space for storing bikes and other outdoor equipment securely. The partially-enclosed garden is on multiple levels at the back. It has mature trees and shrubs as well as several areas to sit and take in the views. The enclosed deck area leading out from the back of the upper living room is ideal if you have little ones. It has a foldaway dining set for making the most of warm evenings and great views of Blencathra when the trees allow. There is also a further raised deck at the top of the garden with two chairs for you to escape with a good book or perhaps with an evening glass of wine to take in the mountain views over Keswick's rooftops.
