Very disappointed, cottage was not clean, roof leaked, mold in shower, crockery dirty, cobwebs everywhere, indescribable bad smell, had to buy air fresheners. Adjoining door to owners property never locked, owner entered the cottage without permission. Garden area unusable as very overgrown. Left before the week ended, would strongly never recommend.

Hello Michelle, thank you for taking the time to leave a review of Potters Barn. I have passed your feedback onto the owners who would, I'm sure, have been very happy to address any issues during your stay. I would be more than happy to help you to select a cottage for your next stay in The Lakes.

Dick and Barbara were very welcoming and friendly. Excellent location being only a short drive to Eskdale valley with plenty of local amenities a 30 second stroll away.
Happily recommend to anyone wanting to visit the lakes with good digs and real value for money.

Potters barn is a wonderful place to stay. It is very comfortable and cosy. We loved the pottery and photographs that are in the cottage as this gave it an extra special feel.

Barbara and Dick (owners) made us very welcome and always had plenty of time to answer our questions about good walks for the children and local places for us to go and see. Their warmth and welcome contributed to our stay.

We all enjoyed our pottery lesson with Dick. He is an excellent teacher and very patient. Our three children (10, 7 and 4) were so excited about the pots that they made!

The location was perfect for us, as it is on the quieter side of the lakes. The local amenities have everything you need and the local restaurant and pub do take away meals, perfect if you have a dog at home! The gluten free options were all tasty too!

We all loved our time at Potters barn and are looking forward to going back next year!
