The property was originally a corn mill and stands amongst 2 acres of gardens and woodlands. A tranquil retreat for 6 guests, the cottage has bright and airy rooms with the living areas arranged on the first floor to make the most of the glorious views.
Newlands Valley is the picture perfect valley where Beatrix Potter wrote many of her tales. The mountain scenery is inspiring and the fell walking here is second to none. For those wishing to cycle, then the testing Newlands Pass is on the doorstep, as well as Whinlatter and Honister for the brave. Walkers can easily access Catbells and Causey Pike directly from the cottage. Whinlatter Forest Park is just 4 miles away and has a Go Ape! high-wire course, a zip line adventure and miles of trails and footpaths for a leisurely stroll or an adventurous hike.
The Swinside Inn is half a mile away, serving homemade food and Lakeland ales. The beer garden is the perfect spot to watch the sun set. Keswick is only 4 miles away offering a wide selection of pubs, attractions, cafes and shops.
