A converted laundry, Park House now provides beautiful accommodation for up to 8 people to relax in style surrounded by stunning countryside. This spacious property is full of charm and character: exposed stonework, original beams and a feature fireplace with wood burner all help you to feel right at home. Converted with easy and sociable living in mind, Park House is a wonderful retreat for groups of friends or families looking to holiday together. A magnificent hallway welcomes you with open arms into this beautiful cottage. On the ground floor you'll find 2 of the 4 bedrooms; both contain zip and link beds (twin or super king) and so offer great flexible sleeping accommodation. Also on the ground floor is a luxurious family bathroom with free-standing bath and separate shower. The remaining 2 bedrooms are on the first floor, both king size with their own en-suite bathrooms, along with the open plan kitchen-dining room, just perfect for sociable mealtimes, and the separate living room complete with wood burner. The enclosed garden overlooking the surrounding fields (you might even have some neighbouring livestock during your stay!) is a wonderful spot to while away the hours.

Skirwith is a peaceful village located in the beautiful Eden Valley. This quieter part of the county still has plenty to see and do. A network of footpaths and bridleways wind their way through Skirwith and its neighbouring villages, why not leave the car and head out on foot to explore what's on your doorstep? In nearby Little Salkeld you'll find Long Meg and her daughters, as well as Lacy's Caves - both a must for anyone intrigued by local history. For a hearty meal, head to The Shepherd's Inn at Langwathby or The Black Swan at Culgaith, both just a short drive from Skirwith.

Stunning Ullswater is a must for a grand day out! Pack a picnic and enjoy a day on the water: try a spot of wild swimming, hire a canoe or rowing boat - or hitch a ride on the stately steamer and let someone else do the hard work. Children and adults alike will love a trip to Lowther Castle and Gardens; hire a bike and spend the morning exploring the estate's wealth of cycle tracks before heading to the adventure playground, not forgetting a pitstop in the cafe to refuel!
