This is a beautiful traditional cottage, refurbished to a really high standard.
Quiet, clean and cosy.
The owner has truly thought of everything and the decor is perfect.

Hi Lynne, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your break, it's a lovely place to relax and recharge the batteries isn't it? I hope you can come back to make more memories in the Lakes soon.

We are a family of 4 plus dog, and we stayed at Padern cottage for a weekend. It was absolutely perfect for us!

The space, while cosy, didn't feel cramped. The kitchen was well stocked with all the equipment we needed. The decor was beautiful and the beds comfortable. The enclosed gravel garden was perfect for our puppy too.

We had a lovely but wet weekend, and enjoyed a few walks nearby. If we were staying longer, I could see the lack of washing machine being more problematic but for a weekend it was no issue at all, and Gill had the nearest laundrette details in the visitors book if you needed.

We felt it was good value for money and enjoyed the personal touch of the welcome basket which included treats for everyone, including the dog!

Absolutely stunning, well dressed and clean cottage. It definitely got the wow factor when we walked in.
The location was a bit more remote than we thought as there weren't any shops in the village and the Inn across the road was a restaurant and we weren't able to pop across just for a few drinks, but we had a couple of meals there and the food was lovely and staff were very friendly.
There was a good selection of supermarkets which were only about a 10min drive away and the local town of Cockermouth was beautiful.
We would definitely recommend the cottage and surrounding area for anyone looking for a place to go for long walks and the owner Gill was lovely and so helpful.
