Outhwaite Cottage is one of our NEW COTTAGES!

Outhwaite Cottage is a wonderful retreat for 5/6 people. Quirky character features sit seamlessly alongside modern comforts in this delightful home from home, you really have got the best of both worlds here. Inside you'll find a dining room, cosy living room complete with wood burner and fabulous modern country-style kitchen. There's also a useful utility room on the ground floor too. Upstairs on the first floor are the 3 lovely bedrooms - 2 kingsize and a single with an extra pull out bed that can accommodate a 6th person upon request - and the 2 bathrooms. Outside is driveway parking for 2-3 cars and a fantastic garden. Located on a working farm, the cottage is surrounded by rolling fields and beautiful countryside.

Located on the outskirts of the peaceful, agricultural village of Renwick in the beautiful Eden Valley, Outhwaite Cottage enjoys a more remote - though not completely isolated - setting on the edge of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This is a rural area and keen walkers and cyclists, nearby Hartside Height being a final stage on more than one occasion for the Tour of Britain, will not be disappointed. Hike up nearby Renwick Fell or tackle Cross Fell, the highest mountain in the Pennines. Enjoy a picturesque stroll along one of the many becks that crisscross this area or walk, or cycle, the 3 miles to the neighbouring village of Kirkoswald where you can enjoy refreshments in one of the 2 friendly pubs before the journey home.

Spend a day at beautiful Ullswater, your closest lake; enjoy a walk by the magnificent Aira Force Waterfall, try your hand at paddle boarding or hitch a ride on the popular Ullswater "Steamer" for a delightful cruise around the lake.  The bustling market town of Keswick is a 45 minute drive away and a great choice for a day out. Known as the adventure capital of the North Lakes, sign up for an activity with one of the local adventure companies - from ghyll scrambling and canyoning to raft building and kayaking, there are plenty of activities to choose from! Whatever you decide to do during your stay, Outhwaite Cottage will be welcoming home from home to retreat to.
