A stylish and light second-floor apartment for a family of four or two couples, located on a quiet side street in the heart of popular Keswick.

This charming holiday property is a characterful, contemporary, second floor apartment in the heart of Keswick, perfect for a family or two couples looking for a comfortable and stylish base from which to launch into the Lake District. The property is one of seven apartments in a complex set in a quiet side street just 100-metre stroll from the bustling centre of Keswick, with its pubs, restaurants, shops, art-deco cinema, theatre and attractions. Parking can sometimes be a headache in Keswick, but with the property you have the advantage of a private parking permit, so your lovely day in the Lakes won’t be marred by hunting for a parking space.

Keswick is a jewel in the northern Lake District's crown, located on the shore of beautiful Derwentwater. It's a vibrant market town with a wonderful atmosphere where you can indulge your wild side with any number of adventurous outdoor activities or pamper your taste buds with a huge range of eateries offering great local food and Cumbrian real ales. The walking and cycling on offer here is second to none, with paths and tracks for gentle, picturesque strolls or Lake District giants such as Skiddaw to climb if you're feeling more energetic.

Ancient and mysterious, Castlerigg Stone Circle is just over a mile up the hill from the complex. Dating from around 3000 BC, it is one of the most stunningly situated stone circles you will find, with breathtaking views in all directions. Nearby, there’s Keswick Climbing wall and Rookery Woods offering fun for all ages. Quirky, spacious this property offers a well-appointed and welcoming base to enjoy all the sights and activities the area has to offer.

This is the top floor of the house and preserves the quirkiness of the venerable building, the living space is full of character, with low windows, exposed, original beams and an inglenook chimney breast over the hob. There's a Smart TV and two, two-seater leather sofas to help you relax, and some vintage furniture finds dotted around. The round dining table seats four. Double aspect sash windows look down onto Southey Street and Shorely Lane, with views of the fells across the rooftops.

The kitchen area has a 'country kitchen' feel, and is well equipped with a fan oven/microwave, induction hob, dishwasher, larder fridge and under-counter freezer. The apartment also has a laundry cupboard in its hallway with its own Indesit washer/dryer.

The large master bedroom has a huge built-in wardrobe, a Victorian-style king size iron bedstead and vintage chest of drawers, dressing table and bedside chests. This bedroom also has its own Smart TV. The large en-suite bathroom offers views over the courtyard at the back to the fells and has a heated towel rail, wash basin with cabinet and shaver point, a bath (with handset shower) for a good long soak after an energetic day out, as well as a shower cabinet with overhead and handset sprays, offering a generous rainfall drenching experience, a real luxury after you've conquered the local heights.

The second bedroom features zip/link beds, so can either be used as a twin bed room or can be made into a super-king bed, just let us know how you'd like it to be set up when booking. There's lots of storage in a built-in warbrobe, chest of drawers and bedside drawers. This bedroom is also en-suite, with WC, heated towel rail, wash basin and walk-in shower with dual overhead and handset sprays.

Lovely spacious apartment. Great holiday. Comfortable and cosy bed. Ideally situated. Stunning views from windows. Felt nestled in the fells. Short walk to Derwentwater for early morning walk to set ourselves up for the day.

Great location, amazing views from all windows and the parking space is a bonus. Very well equipped, a couple of little niggles such as no coat hooks to hang wet coats however the wardrobe in one of the rooms is super large so plenty of space to hang coats away from clothes. Would stay again.

Beautifully decorated apartment. Had everything you need. Lovely and warm. Great location. Nice touches like Tea, coffee bags, sugar and Border biscuits. Very kind. Comfy bed and great bedding. We regret we found sofas very uncomfortable and really cold low lighting. A couple of table lamps would be cosier. Bathroom mirror light in main bedroom didRead moren't work and mirror light in other bathroom too low to be of assistance. Sorry for the negatives. Hide

Lovely apartment - would definitely return and recommend it whole heartedly to others - you wont be disappointed. Excellent location and great to have parking available. The only slight negative is the lack of sound proofing between apartments so you can hear the neighbours below and next door unfortunately.

I dont have a problem recommending this place , but if you have mobility issues request a ground floor apartment other than that absolutely faultless , if I return next year I will look for this place. Car parking is a big plus for me and this was a doddle more or less opposite .

The location of the property is excellent and we were very comfortable. I liked the fact that we were on the second floor as we were away from possible street noises. Very clear instructions for accessing the key and parking very conveniently placed.

A lovely apartment within walking distance of Keswick town centre . Clean and spacious with views of the fells. Having a parking space was a big bonus. Just need to sort the Wi-Fi then it would be 5 stars from us! Hide

Osprey was a wonderful base for our stay in The Lakes with 2 adults and 2 kids. The location is fantastic- only a few minutes walk to the centre of town. Being a top floor apartment means that there are views to the the fells from windows and plenty of light, so you really get a sense of where you are. The parking arrangements were also great, as IRead more would have hated to have to look for a parking spot after a day out. The apartment was very well appointed and comfortable with everything we needed. Hide

Well run, clean. Instructions to get in appear clear at first but please note, the 'green' door is so dark it looks more like a dark grey door. The 'badger' bar on the keypad made no sense to us. turns out it's the long horizontal bar at the bottom of the numbers. You must press this before putting in any numbers, every time. Be aware there are almRead moreost no provisions left in the flat from previous guests (unlike in other flats I've rented). No salt, vinegar, bring everything with you. Hide
