Built in 1693, Ona Ash is a wonderful Grade 2* listed self-catering cottage in the Eden Valley full of rustic charm. This atmospheric cottage is one of only two known Cumbrian longhouses with a thatched roof.
Superb original features have been retained whilst the cottage has been renovated for modern living. You can enjoy the original oak beams whilst watching the modern flat screen TV with an integrated DVD player. There's also a fully functional multi fuel stove for guests to relax to.
Throughout there are flagged sandstone floors, original curved stone staircase, beautiful original beams and solid oak doors. The main bedroom has a wooden floor whilst further bedrooms are carpeted.
Ona Ash is located in the quiet Eden Valley with views for miles across the peaceful countryside and is just outside the lovely village of Kirkoswald.
With the Lake District National Park only a 30-minute drive away and the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Beauty a ten-minute car trip away, Ona Ash is the perfect base for exploring the hills.
