Olive's Cottage is a three-bedroom house, sleeping up to five guests set on a quiet lane in Braithwaite. Its enclosed garden and private parking make it ideal for families with young children and its views are unrivalled within the Lake District. The whole property has been comfortably refurbished.
The ground floor consists of the kitchen, living room and utility or garden room. A dining table seating six people is situated in the kitchen, which contains an electric oven, gas hob, fridge and dishwasher. A freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer can all be found in the utility / garden room, where bikes could also be securely stored. A handy ground floor WC is also located here.
Access to the lawned garden is via the utility / garden room. The garden is enclosed and features a wooden playhouse to keep tots entertained. Two cushioned Ratan garden sofas and a coffee table add to the chilled-out feeling that Olive's Cottage provides.
Step through the French doors from the garden into the living room, in which two comfy sofas and a traditional armchair create a relaxed space for viewing the smart TV (don't forget to bring your Netflix and Amazon Prime logins!).
Upstairs are the three bedrooms, each with built-in wardrobes and additional storage. The front bedrooms, the king size and the zip and link, have views of the Skiddaw and Blencathra mountain ranges, while the single bedroom at the back of the house overlooks the village towards Causey Pike and Grisedale Pike beyond. There is an additional pull out bed in this room which is ideal for children. Perfect for gathering inspiration of where to explore next.
The family bathroom is also upstairs and features a walk-in two-headed drencher shower, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail.
Parking for one car is on the gravelled drive to the front, with more parking available on-street.
The owner will be decorating the cottage for guests staying over the festive period.
