Forming the middle part of a quirky barn conversion, Old Town Lodge is a charming 3 bedroom first and second floor apartment for 6 people and 1 lucky dog. A sunny conservatory area welcomes you into the cottage, the perfect spot to pause for a peaceful moment. Also on this floor is the well equipped kitchen and the spacious living-dining room. Upstairs on the second floor are the 3 lovely bedrooms; there are 2 kingsize rooms, one with its own en-suite bathroom, and a twin. Also on this floor is a shower room, accessed from both the second double and the twin rooms. As well as private off road parking, there are balconies and a gravelled patio area to take advantage of.

Located on the edge of the small village of High Hesket, you're within easy reach of the beautiful Lake District, stunning Eden Valley and the North Pennines, a well deserved Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so there's plenty of choice for days out. Head to the nearby village of Little Salkeld, where you can enjoy a scenic circular walk along riverbanks and through fields to discover Lacy's Cave and the mystical Long Meg stone circle. Explore the market town of Penrith, where you can also stock up on supplies. There are plenty of traditional pubs in the nearby villages for a hearty meal and refreshing drink on your way back to Old Town Lodge.

For a day at, in or on the water head to beautiful Ullswater, your closest lake and just a 30 minute drive away. Enjoy a peaceful lakeside picnic, wild swim, hire a rowing boat or hop aboard the Ullswater "Steamer" and let someone else do the hard work as you cruise around the lake. A trip to Keswick is another must during your stay at Old Town Lodge. Known as the adventure capital of the North Lakes, why not sign up for an activity with one of the local adventure companies? Try your hand at ghyll scrambling, raft building or take on the Via Ferrata at Honister Slate Mine - for the brave only! Spend a day exploring the historic border city of Carlisle; from shops for a spot of retail therapy to museums and a castle for those with an interest in history, there's something for everyone here.
