A much-needed holiday and this was a great place to spend it: a comfortable, well-equipped, attractive cottage in a location perfect for exploring the Lakes and beyond. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time at the Old Post Office and would definitely consider staying there again. It's in a great location, just off the A66 so quick access to Penrith and across to Keswick, but also only a 5 min drive to the lakeside of Ullswater.

The cottage was well appointed, a good sized kitchen with plenty of storage space for food, and all the items you would need. The dishwasher, washing machine and separate drier were particularly useful! Living space is cosy, we space for everyone, and the bedrooms were all lovely. A nice little garden to the rear of the property was well used, and it was nice to be able to park the car off the street in a gated drive

We spent a long weekend in this warm and cosy cottage. The cottage was well equipped and had everything we needed for our short break away. The pub was just a short walk away and served delicious food. We will be visiting again I’m sure.
