The Old Post Office (Dacre) is a charming traditional Cumbrian cottage located in the small village of Dacre on the eastern side of the Lake District National Park. The cottage contains two double beds and can sleep a maximum of four people.
The first time you enter the cottage, it will be via the back garden. This pretty, southwest facing garden contains a small raised lawn area and patio seating and is enclosed by a lovely old dry stone wall. It's the perfect spot for relaxing with a cup of tea. The back door opens into a well-stocked dining kitchen, which contains electric oven, microwave and induction hob, toaster, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, a freestanding fridge-freezer and a breakfast table that seats four guests.
The beautiful, light living room is the real heart of the cottage. Featuring low oak beams, luxurious armchairs and a fabulous wood burning stove, this is at once a cosy and welcoming room. As well as a dining table, Freeview TV and DVD player, you'll also find a large selection of books, DVDs and games to keep everyone entertained.
Upstairs you'll find the two gorgeous bedrooms and family bathroom. The bathroom contains a basin, WC, heated towel rail and benefits from a shower over the bath so all tastes are catered for. Both of the bedrooms are wonderfully cosy and beautifully decorated. Each bedroom contains a double bed, storage for clothes and pretty cottage windows for taking in the views.
Private parking is available for two cars in the driveway behind the cottage.
