The Old Post Office (Dacre) is a charming traditional Cumbrian cottage located in the small village of Dacre on the Eastern side of the Lake District National Park. While it contains three double beds, the cottage itself can maximise a party size of 4, so there is no need to fight over who gets which room.
The first time you enter the cottage, it will be via the back garden. This pretty, south-west facing garden contains a small raised lawn area, seating and is enclosed by a lovely old dry stone wall. The garden is the perfect spot for relaxing with a cup of tea. The back door opens into a well-stocked dining kitchen, which contains double oven with microwave and induction hob, toaster, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, a freestanding fridge-freezer and a breakfast table that seats four guests.
The beautiful, light living room is the real heart of the cottage. Featuring low oak beams, luxurious armchairs and a fabulous wood burning stove, this is at once a cosy and welcoming room. As well as a dining table, Freeview TV and DVD player, you'll also find a large selection of books, DVDs and games to keep everyone entertained.
Upstairs you'll find the three gorgeous bedrooms and family bathroom. The bathroom contains a basin, WC, heated towel rail and benefits from a shower over the bath so all tastes are catered for. All three of the bedrooms are wonderfully cosy and beautifully decorated. Each bedroom contains a double bed, storage for clothes and pretty cottage windows for taking in the views.
Private parking is available for two cars in the driveway behind the cottage.
