stunning! amazing! really beautiful setting. We saw barn owls, deer and a yellow hammer on the bird feeder. Beautiful place with plenty of fantastic walks, terrific views, great pubs, good food and plenty of sunshine.

We chose this cottage to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary and to get away from everything as we couldn’t travel abroad. The cottage didn’t disappoint with an amazing view from the conservatory and decked area. This was also our first holiday with our 10 month old Spaniel, who absolutely lived her best life, especially taking the train to Ravensglass to the beach! Best of all for us was the Eskadale trail running across from the bottom of the adjoining field, given us wonderful walks to the local pub and waterfalls. We loved it so much we have rebooked for next summer.

We had a very happy family week at The Old Joiner's Cottage, which gave us everything we wanted and more! As the weather was wonderful, we were out on the decking/terrace or in the conservatory, listening to the cuckoos, watching the birds and enjoying the sheep every day of our stay! When we weren't walking out, of course. The kitchen is very well equipped, with everything we needed and although we didn't need a drying room, the one we had came in very useful, as the washer/drier listed turned out to be just a washing machine, so the "maiden" drier was very useful! Great that the pub up the road is now open again and seemed to be doing good deal of business!
All in all, an excellent spot and a lovely property.

I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.
