Catbells is a charming first floor apartment for two people within Kiln How, a beautiful traditional building nestled in Borrowdale. Right in the heart of tranquil Rosthwaite this makes a wonderful base for a couple or solo visitor to make the most of this much-loved area.
On arrival at the main door guests access the shared lower hall. The owners have thoughtfully left plenty of local information here if you need inspiration for your travels. At the top of the main staircase is the landing with access to three of the apartments. Catbells is number 2. All of the accommodation is arranged off a main hallway.
The open-plan living, dining, kitchen area is a lovely light space with two large sash windows (with cushions in the window seat for admiring the view or reading a book) looking out on to the fells to the east of the house. The living area has two deep comfy armchairs arranged around an electric wall mounted fire and a TV with DVD and Freesat. The modern kitchen area is equipped with a built-in fan oven and microwave and light coloured units along with all the crockery and cookware you'll need for your stay. There's also a circular dining table for four.
Moving on to the double bedroom with its glorious fell views. It's a light room with a double bed, curtained wardrobe and vanity unit with sink. The views from the sash window are wonderful, stretching from High Spy to Maiden Moor and Catbells beyond.
The apartment has a separate bathroom and WC. The bathroom has an over-bath mixer shower and sink.
Outside there is a shared parking area and a lovely shared garden. It's a beautiful space with mature shrubs, fell views and seating to enjoy a morning cuppa or an evening glass of wine.
