General description

38 Stanger Street is a charming terraced house in the heart of Keswick. Not only does it boast mountain views but also three lovely bedrooms, genteel living spaces and a delightful conservatory. All this and just a short potter to the centre of this vibrant and bustling Lakeland town.

On arrival at the property guests are greeted by an open driveway with space for two cars as well as an electric charging point for vehicles. The electric charger is a Type 2, 7.2KW charger. Entry to the house is via a small porch into the main hall which has coat hooks for your outdoor bits and bobs.

Moving into the elegant living room guests will find a lovely relaxing space with two classically shaped comfy sofas, an armchair, a television with Freesat and Blu-ray disc player arranged around a lovely wood burning stove. The open-plan room stretches through to the dining area which has a square wooden dining table and a gorgeous wooden dresser. A door from this room leads into a handy downstairs WC and utility area with washing machine. Beautiful wooden bi-fold doors lead through to the conservatory which is a gorgeous space to relax. It looks out onto the enclosed back garden as well as looking over the rooftops to the tops of Clough Head and Walla Crag among others. It benefits from wonderful morning sun so makes an ideal place to enjoy a leisurely morning cuppa.

The compact, well equipped kitchen lies just off the dining area. It has a slim range style double oven with four gas hobs, a dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer.

The staircase leads up from the front hallway to the bedrooms and bathroom. The first of the bedrooms has a double bed, a large wooden wardrobe with a chest of drawers, a rocking chair for relaxing, a lovely decorative fireplace and glorious views over rooftops to the fells beyond. The next room has a double bed with a metal bedstead, a built-in wardrobe and chest of drawers for storage as well as wonderful views to mighty Skiddaw, Barrow and Grisedale Pike. The single room has a slim window out to the same view and built-in cupboards for storage. Also on the main landing is the elegant family bathroom. It has a full bath with a separate mixer shower in its own enclosure and a charming Victorian style washstand.

Outside, the lovely back garden has a small lawn, a raised patio and a shaded table with outdoor dining furniture.
