Stickle Tarn is a delightful apartment for six arranged on the second floor of a Victorian building in the centre of Keswick. It boasts three spacious bedrooms and a light airy open feel with far reaching views over the town itself and to the fells. It also has its own dedicated parking space and is perfectly situated to make the most of all the town's amenities on foot. It also makes an idal apartment for anyone coming to the town on public transport as it is just a short walk from the town's bus station and bus stops for the Borrowdale Valley are right outside the house.
The apartment has shared access at the rear of the building. Guests entering the internal door are greeted by a spacious hallway from which all the accommodation is accessed. Immediately to the right is a large utility cupboard with washing machine, airer and plenty of space for hanging coats and storing al the muddy boots from your Lakeland adventures.
The first bedroom you arrive at is the twin room. This has a large built-in wardrobe, a dresser with mirror and lovely views over the pedestrianised area outside to Walla Crag. Moving through the hallway with its elegant dresser and large mirror the next room guests come to is the family bathroom. This has a large oval, double ended bath with over-bath electric shower. Perfect for relaxing tired fell walking muscles! Next is the double bedroom, this has a romantic brass bedstead, a wooden wardrobe a chest of drawers and more lovely views toward the Borrowdale Valley. The last of the bedrooms that you reach is the master suite. From the hallway you descend three steps into this lovely space with double bed, large wardrobe and dual aspect windows looking out onto a gorgeous panorama of Skiddaw and reaching round over Keswick's rooftops to the tops of Catbells and Causey Pike. It also has its own en-suite shower room with large rectangular enclosure and mixer shower.
Lastly guests come to the light airy open plan living, dining and kitchen space. This has been well designed to bring in tons of light and create distinct areas while still retaining a sociable open feel. The kitchen area is well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, double under-counter fan oven and a five-ring gas hob. There's plenty of storage space in the wooden units and large dresser along with all the crockery, utensils and cookware you will need for your stay. Next to the kitchen is the six seater glass dining table with its glorious views out towards Hope Park and the fells in the distance. Ideal for watching the world go by over a morning cuppa. Lastly is the expansive living area. This benefits from the lovely arched sash windows that adorn property bathing the room in light and offering more of those far reaching views. Looking out on the leafy pedestriansied area just outside which is green and lush in the summer months and when the leaves have fallen in winter opening up more views of the Borrowdale Valley fells. It has two large leather sofas as well as an armchair arranged around the wall mounted remote control fire and large TV with DVD player and stereo. The owners have thoughtfully left a selection of DVDs and games to while away the evenings but you might just enjoy the opportunity to gather the family around the fire and discuss your Lake District days.
