General description

4 Raven Lane is a comfortable semi-detached cottage for five people with stunning panoramic views of the fells around Keswick. Set in a wonderful position in the tranquil village of Applethwaite at the foot of Skiddaw it makes an ideal and great value holiday base for a family or friends to enjoy all that this area has to offer.

Guests enter the house from the side door where you first come into the spacious open plan kitchen/diner. It's a lovely light space equipped with all the crockery, glassware and cookware you're likely to need for your stay. There's plenty of counter space, a built-in fan oven, electric hobs, microwave, washing machine and fridge freezer. It is a light open room with a dining table and six chairs. This leads through to the cosy living room with its open fireplace and comfy seating. There's a television with a DVD and VHS player along with a selection of books, that is if you can tear yourself away from the stunning view from the living room window.

The bedrooms and the bathroom are all arranged on the first floor. Firstly the master bedroom has a double bed, a large wardrobe, a dressing table and a glorious view of the fells of the Borrowdale Valley. The twin room has a dresser, a built-in cupboard for storage and a view to the garden at the rear of the house. The single room also has a built-in cupboard and that wonderful view to the font of the house.

Outside the house there is a lovely enclosed garden with large flower beds to the front, a lawn with rotary airer to the side and a larger lawn bordered by mature shrubs and flower beds to the rear. It makes a lovely place for a morning cuppa or an evening glass of wine.
