General description

Roslin is a comfortable semi-detatched house for four people set in a quiet cul-de-sac in Portinscale, a delightful village on the edge of Keswick and within easy walking distance of picturesque Derwentwater.

Guests access the house by the side door where they will enter a utility area, there's plenty of space in here to leave muddy boots and coats from all your Lake District rambles

As you enter the kitchen/diner you are greeted by the stunning view from the large picture window looking over to Skiddaw, England's fourth highest mountain which stands guard over Keswick. It's also ideal for keeping an eye on the children if they are playing in the large back garden. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric fan oven with gas hobs, dishwasher, microwave and all the crockery and cutlery you're likely to need for your stay. There is a dining table with seating for four and recessed shelving for all your bits and bobs.

Moving through the hallway to the light, airy living room you'll find a large comfortable space with a cosy sofa and two armchairs, flat screen TV and DVD player perfect for snuggling up around the gas effect fire after chilly walks out. This is a delightful bright space thanks to its light decor and huge window benefiting from that fabulous fell view.

Upstairs you'll find the large master bedroom with double bed, large wardrobe, dressing table and a stunning view to the fells and Bassenthwaite Lake. The cosy twin room has a wardrobe, drawers and yet another great fell view. The spacious family bathroom has a stand alone bath and a rectangular shower enclosure with and electric shower.

Moving outside, To the front of the house there is a small garden with mature shrubs with plenty of year round colour and parking for up to two cars just outside the garden fence. To the rear of the house is a lovely large garden with a raised patio area for outdoor dining, a long sloping lawn with a lovely apple tree in the middle, a great place to practise your cartwheels! It commands a wonderful position with glorious views and is a stunning spot for a sunset glass of wine or indeed a morning cuppa.
