Scots Pine is an elegant and well appointed house for four forming part of a beautiful Georgian country house on the outskirts of the popular Lakeland town of Keswick. It has been completely refurbished to a very high standard and every detail has been thought of by the owners to ensure guests will find it a warm, welcoming and luxurious place to stay. It boasts thoughtful decor, local artwork, luxurious hand soaps from Bath House, bespoke pieces of furniture, working shutters and countless personal touches making it a place you'll want to visit again and again.
On arrival at the cottage you enter via the delightful enclosed garden. This has a glorious raised patio with dining table and chairs, perfectly placed to make the most of the afternoon and evening sun whether for dining al fresco or just a sunset glass of wine. The area has been thoughtfully planted to provide privacy and year round colour as well as benefiting from wonderful views of Brundholme Woods, Latrigg Fell and of course the magnificent eponymous Scots Pine in the grounds.
The front door leads directly into the wonderfully equipped kitchen. It's a newly installed haven for the foodies amongst you with fan oven, induction hobs, and all of the crockery and utensils you are likely to need for your stay. It has a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and a wall mounted television for keeping you entertained while you cook up a storm. Leading on from here you enter the open plan living and dining room. It is a light airy space with a beautiful wood burning stove, wooden floors, a circular oak dining table, a deep corner sofa, CD player and large television with Humax and DVD player. The owners have thoughtfully provided a selection of DVDs, books and games to entertain you during your stay.
Moving up the staircase from the living area the landing opens up onto the two elegant bedrooms and family bathroom. The master bedroom is a wonderful space with exposed beams leading up into the apex of the roof and dual aspect windows. It has a super kingsize bed which can be made into twin beds should your party require it. The master bedroom also benefits from a gorgeous en-suite shower room with walk-in shower enclosure and mixer shower with drencher head.
The second super king size bedroom is equally delightful with dual aspect windows boasting views of Brundholme Woods to one side and the lovely grounds to the other. Both bedrooms have built-in wardrobes and sumptuous soft furnishings. Like several of the other rooms they also have gorgeous working shutters. The spacious family bathroom has "Jack and Jill" sinks, a large bath with over-bath mixer shower and another of those wonderful drencher heads, perfect for massaging away any aching muscles from your fell walking exertions!
