Newcastle upon Tyne Family
- We had a lovely week at Copeland but wouldn't book again until a few improvements are made.
Some may be things that are only an issue for us - two of the downstairs bedroom mattresses are very soft and the floorboards in the upstairs bedroom creak loudly, noticeable as we have an early riser in the family! The conservatory isn't heated so too cold for us to enjoy in the winter and overall the cottage is starting to look a little tired.
The main issue is that the sofas remain incredibly uncomfortable. We did mention this after our stay Christmas 2016, I notice other visitors have made similar comments but nothing has been done. With the price increasing year on year its disappointing the changes aren't made that several people feel are necessary.
We're sad not to return as the location is wonderful and Copeland itself very close to being excellent but there is plenty of competition in the Lake District so we will look to book elsewhere going forwards.

Thank you for leaving a review of Copeland Cottage. We have passed you comments on to the owners who had actually ordered new sofas which should have arrived before Christmas but were unfortunately delayed by the supplier. As mattresses are very much a matter of personal preference we advise our owners to use medium mattresses to suit as many people as possible. I hope you will be returning to the Lakes at that the weather will be kinder to you during your next stay.
