A great place to explore the Borrowdale Valley from the door with a good range of both high level and low level walks. The barn was very comfortable and well equipped and the downstairs utility room is a real bonus. Pub and tea room 1 mile away but no local store so shop before you arrive. We had a fantastic stay and would book again, but the provision of essentials like bin bags, washing up liquid and a range of cleaning products would have been welcomed.

Hi Katie, thank you for your review. The Borrowdale Valley is simply stunning isn't it? A real walkers paradise. And The Barn is the perfect place to retrun to after a day on the fells.
I appreciate your suggestion for some provisions of essentials and will pass this on to the owner, thank you. I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

Excellent holiday in very nice comfortable cottage . As seasoned walkers ready for anything the weather could throw at us but really appreciated the spacious downstairs drying room .

Hi David, it sounds like you had a great time at The Barn. This area really is a walkers paradise isn't it? It's a shame the weather wasn't great but it sounds like it didn't spoil your fun. Until next time!

The Barn is ideally located for getting away from the crowds, situated at the end of beautiful Borrowdale. The accommodation is comfortable and well appointed and we would certainly choose to stay here again.

Borrowdale's one of my favourite valleys, Andrew, and so I'm really glad you had such a great stay. As you say, you can certainly get away from the crowds here - and I expect you made the most of the local walking too. I look forward to seeing you again!
