We enjoyed our time at Hall Bolton. Some minor things could have been improved, like no spare toilet paper, dustbin bags or rinse aid for the dishwasher were provided. Otherwise a lovely setting and very homely house to spend a week in.

Hi, I'm so pleased you enjoyed your week at Hall Bolton Farmhouse. The Wasdale Valley is stunning isn't it? I hope you enjoyed exploring the local area.
I'll pass your suggestion for some spare toilet paper, bin bags and rinse aid on to the owner for consideration, thank you. I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

Had a lovely holiday but a little bit disappointed with the description on Salley cottages. The house was clean with a lovely walk at the back of the house but need to drive to most places. The neighbours were friendly however we were surprised to find the cottage with quite a few houses around. Also no views as shown in pictures on the site.
I was told the garden was enclosed but wasn't. It was open at the back of garden with no fence. There is a very low wall in the garden with quite a drop in some parts, so beware if you have young children or dogs. Also the owner lives just up from the house and there is a house directly opposite the cottage so not a lot of privacy.

Hello Linda, Thank you for your review of Hall Bolton Farmhouse. I am pleased that you enjoyed your holiday, Wasdale is a lovely place to stay. We would have been pleased to answer any questions you may have had regarding the location of the cottage and surrounding buildings. We do advertise the garden as being partially enclosed as the fence does not entirely surround the cottage. I would be more than happy to help you to choose a cottage for your next stay in the Lake District.

A quiet, peaceful relaxing location. Had everything we needed. A powerful shower at the end of the day was a joy! Thank you.
