Leave the M6 at junction 44 (Carlisle)
Follow the A595 signed for Barrow
Continue to Calder Bridge and turn off right to Gosforth
Continue into Gosforth to the mini roundabout (where there is a triangle of pubs)
Go straight over past the shops then take the next right to Eskdale
Continue on this road going over two river bridges
400 yards past the second bridge look for a bridleway entrance on the left between two sandstone pillars
Go down this bridleway until the road surface ends where you will find the farmhouse on the right hand side. It is a white building opposite the barn conversion


From the South
Leave the M6 at junction 36 (Kendal)
Take the A590 exit to Barrow/Kendal/A591/Kirkby Lonsdale/A65
At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A590
Take the A590 ramp to A6/Barrow/Milnthorpe
At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A590
At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on A590
At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A5092
Turn right toward A595
Continue on the A595 till you reach Gosforth
Continue into Gosforth to the mini roundabout (where there is a triangle of pubs)
Turn right and go past the shops then take the next right to Eskdale
Continue on this road going over two river bridges
